The DJI Matrice 4T is a state-of-the-art drone designed for various applications. It boasts advanced AI detection models capable of identifying people, vehicles, and boats. The DJI Matrice 4T Camera is a versatile imaging tool for various applications. It features a thermal camera with a resolution of 640 × 512, an f/1.0 aperture, and a 53 mm equivalent focal length, providing Ultra High Resolution (UHR) infrared images up to 1280 × 1024. The wide-angle camera has a 1/1.3 CMOS sensor with 48 MP effective pixels, an f/1.7 aperture, and a 24 mm format equivalent, capturing expansive and detailed images.
The 7x tele camera, with a 1/1.5 CMOS sensor and 48 MP effective pixels, offers four times the pixel quantity and double the zoom capability compared to the M3T, allowing for detailed long-range imaging. The 3x medium tele camera features a 1/1.3 CMOS sensor with 48 MP effective pixels, providing mid-range imaging capabilities. These cameras ensure that the Matrice 4T can handle a wide range of imaging tasks precisely and clearly.
The camera also includes an NIR auxiliary light with a 6° field of view and an illumination distance of 100 meters (328 feet), enhancing visibility in low-light conditions. The laser range finder has a measurement range of 1800 meters (5905 feet) with an accuracy of 0.2 + 0.005 × D (m), making it a precise tool for distance measurement and mapping tasks.

FlyTo
The FlyTo feature allows the drone to quickly face and automatically fly to the subject, enhancing operational efficiency. Users can easily drop a pin using the laser range finder or map and automate flights to the location. The drone can automatically adjust its flight path and speed based on the surrounding environment.
Line & Area Drawing
Users can draw lines to measure distances and polygons to calculate area sizes. This feature is particularly useful for tasks such as estimating the area of a brush fire.
Cruise
The cruise mode enables the drone to fly in a specific direction at the current speed, making long-distance flights or slow searches easier. Pilots can control the drone without constantly pressing the control sticks.
Observed View
The observed view functionality records the observed area and center position, displaying the observed area on the map for easy reference. This feature, combined with the fixed speed function, greatly reduces the cognitive load of search and rescue pilots.
Smart Track
The Smart Track feature ensures precision positioning and automatic zoom adjustments for optimal tracking. It can identify humans, vehicles, and vessels and continuously track the selected object. The C4 wheel on the remote controller (RC) supports manual zoom level adjustment.
Point of Interest
The Point of Interest function allows for orbit modeling of fixed-point tasks, providing dynamic and engaging footage. Users can orbit around a selected pinpoint, lock the focus point and speed using the C1 button, and lock the gimbal direction using the C2 button.
Object Detection and Counting
The system can identify people, vehicles, and vessels, with a maximum of 128 objects displayed in the camera view. It can also issue warnings when specific types of objects appear in the camera view.
Object Counting in a Photo
Object counting can be displayed when reviewing photos in the album, with a maximum of 1,000 targets in a single photo. Note that the AI detection function must be enabled before taking photos.
Counting in a High-Res Grid Photo
Object quantity and density can also be displayed when reviewing high-resolution grid photos. The recommended capture distance is 160 meters.
Coordinates of Target
The center point position of the captured photo can be obtained, making it easier to locate fault points during inspection work. Center coordinates are available in the image XMP metadata.
